Course Description
ONE YEAR POST BASIC SPECIALIZATION PROGRAM
The one-year Post Basic Diploma programs in nursing are designed to prepare registered nurses to
acquire in depth knowledge and skills in specialized areas of nursing. It aims to prepare them to
function effectively as care givers/nurse supervisors in the respective settings. These programs require
full time attendance. The course includes Foundations of Nursing. Specialty Nursing. Nursing
Management, and Research.
NICONHS Is offering specialties Le, Accident & Emergency, ICU and CCU. Nursing Examination Board is the awarding body for one- year post basic specialization diploma.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Complete Secondary School Certificate SSC (Science Group with biology).
• Complete RN and RM diploma with a minimum second division.
• Hold current/valid PNC registration
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned institution.
CAREER OPTIONS UPON COMPLETION OF ONE-YEAR POST BASIC DIPLOMA IN SPECIALIZATION
PROGRAM
• Upgradation of job in Public and private Hospitals.
• Opportunity to work in abroad (UK, USA, UAE, KSA, etc.) as a specialty nurse.
• Job opportunity to work as a specialized subject faculty or in clinical areas as a specialty nurse.
